Happy Monday! There's a thin coating of snow here this morning, which explains why everything looked so blue through the cracks in the bedroom curtains.
Let it be known that PupCake is NOT amused.

I spent the weekend over at Boy's mom's house, installing her new tile backsplash:



It would have been a quick, one day project to set the tile had it not been for a tile saw that decided to quit in the midst of things. So instead of a done-in-a-weekend project, it took two afternoons to set and I'll have to head back over to grout it in the next day or two, but I think the results are going to be lovely. She's really excited and after fifty-plus years in the same house, always compromising and never really getting exactly what she wants, I'm happy to be able to give her something that's all her and that she really loves.
Maybe this will be the incentive she needs to keep a lid on her endless countertop clutter :)
